Rainwater that falls in the watershed drains to the ponds carrying trash, debris, and pollutants with it. The ponds in the community are stormwater facilities that function to remove pollutants from stormwater that enters the ponds. Regular maintenance of the ponds is important to their health and proper functioning. You will frequently see contractors working in the ponds to remove trash and debris, maintain the aquatic plants, and mow the grass. Periodically, the bays and main pool will be dredged to remove accumulated sediment. This year, Ponds No. 1, 4, and 5 are due for maintenance. Click here for more information.
